  • GTES, in partnership with our client in Albury, a well respected painting company are currently looking for an apprentice painter who is hardworking, enthusiastic and keen to start their apprenticeship with our client.

    In this role, you will work as a part of an organisation that is committed to providing their customers a superior service in Albury & surrounding areas.

    Throughout your apprenticeship you will work on many aspects in the painting and decorating industry and preferred to have a sound knowledge of:

    • How to prepare surfaces for painting
    • How to apply paint
    • Maintain and decorate interior and exterior surfaces.

    To be successful in this position you must be reliable, committed to the tasks, be a motivated team player, and have good communication skills. Previous experience painting is advatageous.

    A driver’s licence would be preferred and a white card is essential.

    Apprentice Painter

    As an Apprentice Fitter Machinist you will undergo extensive training on how to;

    • Perform hydraulic operations
    • Perform general machining and repairs
    • Interact with computing technology and learn how to operate and integrate automation and robotics
    • Interpret technical drawing and perform precision mechanical measurements.

    To be successful in this position you must be interested in technical work and have good hand-eye coordination. You must be able to handle tools and machines and have good mathematical skills. You will also need to be able to pay great attention to detail.

    Apprentice Fitter Machinist

  • GTES, together with Magpies Nest Restaurant, are currently seeking applications from passionate and enthusiastic individuals interested in commencing or continuing their career in the hospitality industry as an Apprentice Chef.

    The successful applicant will be exposed to a wide range of duties within this high-paced role including; the preparation and cookery of a range of meals using high quality, locally sourced produce, maintenance of kitchen hygiene, food presentation and creative menu design. Upon completion of this 3 year apprenticeship you will receive a Certificate III in Hospitality – Commercial Cookery.

    To be successful in this position you must be willing to work nights and weekends, possess a ‘can do’ attitude, have excellent communication skills, be well presented and be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to learning all aspects of Commercial Cookery. A driver’s licence is essential.

    An immediate start is preferred.

  • GTES, together with Renrow Construction Canberra, are currently seeking applications from committed and hard working individuals interested in commencing a Boilermaker Apprenticeship.

    As an Apprentice Welder, you will be required to assist in the preparation, measurement and cutting of metal components, interpret drawings and plans, and produce a range of metal fabricated products. This will require the use of an assortment of tools and fabrication techniques including MIG welding, stick welding and oxy cutting. You will also receive valuable on-site experience in steel and metalwork installation.

    To be successful in this position you must be reliable, mature-minded, willing to learn, able to show initiative, possess excellent problem solving skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the industry.

    Preferred criteria but not essential:

    - Asbestos Awareness Training

    - White Card

    - Current Driver's License (essential)
