  • GTES in conjunction with a family owned and operated outdoor power equipment business in Wagga seeks applications from honest and motivated individuals interested in commencing an Outdoor Power Equipment Technology Traineeship.

    As a Trainee in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology your main responsibilities include; troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to servicing and repairs of a range of outdoor power equipment such as stationary petrol and diesel agricultural engines, pumps, ride on mowers, small construction equipment, chainsaws, lawnmowers, trimmers, etc.

    The successful applicant will:-

    • Be self-motivated and also be able to work in a team environment and assist others as required
    • Have good interpersonal and customer service skills and be able to articulate technical issues to customers
    • Have competent computer skills
    • Be prompt, honest and reliable

    On completion of your traineeship you will receive a nationally recognised qualification in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology Certificate III.

    A current driver’s licence is desired but not essential. But most importantly, we are looking for candidates that have a passion for small engines or are mechanically minded.

    During this School Based Apprenticeship you will complete the equivalent of the first year of your trade and it will count towards your HSC with a total of 4 units over the two years (2 units per year).
