    Apprentice Agriculture Mechanic

As a Trainee Technical Officer, you will be involved in all aspects of plant operation including loading and unloading of tankers, laboratory work, process monitoring including temperature and pressure checks, preventative maintenance, fault reporting, general plant operation and all other project work as required. Whilst completing this two year traineeship, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification; Certificate III in Process Plant Operations.     To be successful for this position it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, a positive and mature attitude, strong work ethic, and be mechanically minded.     As an Apprentice Welder, you will be required to assist in the preparation, measurement and cutting of metal components, interpret drawings and plans, and produce a range of metal fabricated products. This will require the use of an assortment of tools and fabrication techniques including MIG welding, stick welding and oxy cutting. You will also receive valuable on-site experience in steel and metalwork installation.

    As a Trainee in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology your main responsibilities include; troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to servicing and repairs of a range of outdoor power equipment such as stationary petrol and diesel agricultural engines, pumps, ride on mowers, small construction equipment, chainsaws, lawnmowers, trimmers, etc.

    The successful applicant will:-

    • Be self-motivated and also be able to work in a team environment and assist others as required
    • Have good interpersonal and customer service skills and be able to articulate technical issues to customers
