  • APPRENTICE PLASTERER

    GTES currently have an excellent opportunity available in Wagga for an energised person looking to kick-start their career in a Wall and Ceiling Lining Apprenticeship.

    As a plasterer with our client, you will work as part of a small team that is committed to providing their customers with the best service and results possible. Throughout your 4 year apprenticeship you will learn all aspects of plastering including insulation, sheeting, cornicing, setting joints and sanding.

    You must be able to demonstrate common sense, be reliable, committed and motivated for this apprenticeship.

    To be successful in this role you must have a drivers licence and a white card would be highly desirable.

This 3 year apprenticeship will see you learn a variety of trade skills such as baking processes and producing bread dough and pastries.

    You will be required for early morning starts Monday to Friday and in return will receive a Certificate III in Retail Baking at the completion of your apprenticeship.

    GTES, in partnership with Hartwigs Wagga are currently seeking applications from motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are interested in undertaking the role of a Warehousing trainee.

    As part of this traineeship you will assist with the dispatching and receiving of stock, picking and processing orders, as well as applying product knowledge to organise work operations. You will be required to perform duties such as; loading and unloading of trucks, completion of dispatch documentation, deliveries around the local area as well as general administrative tasks. Upon completion of your 12 month traineeship you will receive a Certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing Operations).

    To be successful in this role you will have strong computer and math skills, be able to work unsupervised and take initiative. You must have good communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to liaise with customers and co-workers and be mature-minded. A current driver's licence is essential.

Within this role you will also be exposed to all aspects of solar panel installation.

    To be successful in this position you must be mature-minded, physically fit, have good hand-eye coordination, excellent maths skills, completed year 10 or equivalent and have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the electrical industry.

    As an Apprentice Carpet and Vinyl Layer you will perform duties such as installation of commercial vinyls, vinyl tiles and carpets.  Upon completion of your 4 year apprenticeship you will attain a Certificate III in Furnishing (Flooring Technology).
