GTES, together with a local up and coming steel and engineering manufacturer in Canberra, are currently seeking applications from committed and hardworking individuals interested in commencing their career as an apprentice welder.
As an apprentice welder you will be required to assist in the preparation, measurement and cutting of metal components, interpret drawings and plans. You will produce a range of metal fabricated products using an assortment of tools and fabrication techniques including MIG welding, stick welding and oxy cutting. You will also be involved with assembling steel structures on commercial job sites in and around the Canberra area. Upon completion of this 4 year apprenticeship you will obtain a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication.
To be successful in this position you must be reliable, mature-minded, willing to learn, able to show initiative, possess excellent problem - solving skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in this industry. A current driver's licence is preferred and a White Card and Asbestos Awareness training are essential.

GTES, together with Nixons Engineering, are currently seeking applications from hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated individuals interested in commencing their career as a Spare Parts Trainee.
As a Spare Parts Trainee, you will be involved with receiving and packaging goods, as well as picking and processing orders and using inventory systems to organise stock control. As part of this traineeship you will complete a certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing Operations).
The successful applicant must possess excellent communication skills. A current driver’s licence is essential.
