    As an information technology trainee, you will work with supervision to identify common problems and maintenance procedures. Some duties within this role will include:

    • Assisting with network and infrastructure support
    • Preparing, deploying and managing student and staff devices
    • Digital resource management
    • Assist in providing support for students and staff using laptops, tablets and other electronic devices

    To be successful for this position, you must have excellent communication skills, be able to problem solve and think analytically, and a technical aptitude. Patience and a willingness to develop new skills and knowledge will also be advantageous.     As a trainee with CommBank, you will be exposed to many facets of day to day financial operations. Duties you will be involved in will include:

    • Providing excellent customer service
    • Cash, debit and credit card handling
    • Referring customers on to relevant financial specialists within the branch

    Grant’s Sawmilling is a family owned business which produces Australian Cypress products for the building, furnishing and landscaping industries. Throughout this 4 year apprenticeship you will be exposed to all facets of the timber industry machining trade and will learn valuable skills that will set you up for a rewarding and exciting career. In return for your hard work you will receive a Certificate III in Woodmachining

    Main duties within this role will include the machining of timber products for the building, landscaping and furniture industries. Grant’s range of products varies from structural timber, flooring systems and fencing for construction, to mulches and shavings for gardening applications.

    Grant’s Sawmilling is a family owned business which produces Australian Cypress products for the building,furnishing and landscaping industries using a range of heavy vehicles and machinery. This is a rare, high exposure position where you will not only be working on heavy vehicles in the company fleet, but also plant and machinery.

    Main duties within this role will include:

    • Repairs and fault tracing
    • Electronic diagnosis
    • Service, repair and replacement of mechanical components
    • Service and repair of engines, clutches, suspension and braking systems

    Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic - Narrandera

    - Maintenance of the school’s gardens, lawns and ovals including fertilising, weeding and pruning
    - General repairs and maintenance as required
    - Cleaning of school grounds and buildings

    Horticulture Trainee (Groundskeeping)

  • Apprentice Welder

    GTES, together with a local up and coming steel and engineering manufacturer in Canberra, are currently seeking applications from committed and hardworking individuals interested in commencing their career as an apprentice welder.

    As an apprentice welder you will be required to assist in the preparation, measurement and cutting of metal components, interpret drawings and plans. You will produce a range of metal fabricated products using an assortment of tools and fabrication techniques including MIG welding, stick welding and oxy cutting. You will also be involved with assembling steel structures on commercial job sites in and around the Canberra area. Upon completion of this 4 year apprenticeship you will obtain a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication.

    To be successful in this position you must be reliable, mature-minded, willing to learn, able to show initiative, possess excellent problem - solving skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in this industry. A current driver's licence is preferred and a White Card and Asbestos Awareness training are essential.
