    GTES, in conjunction with Wagga Motorcycles, are currently seeking applications from hard working, motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are interested in undertaking a traineeship in Spare Parts.

    Through out this 2 year traineeship you will be involved in the selling of automotive parts and accessories (predominately motorcycles), assisting with phone and counter sales, data entry, picking and packing orders, general merchandising and administrative tasks and some parts interpreting. In return for your hard work you will be rewarded with an excellent career opportunity and a Certificate III in Automotive Sales, a qualification recognised nation wide.

    To be successful in this role you will have strong computer and math’s skills, be able to work unsupervised and take initiative. You must have good communication skills, both written and oral, the ability to liaise with customers and co-workers, and be mature-minded and some mechanical knowledge.     GTES, together with a local up and coming steel and engineering manufacturer in Canberra, are currently seeking applications from committed and hard working individuals interested in commencing or continuing their career as an Apprentice Welder.

    As an Apprentice Welder you will be required to assist in the preparation, measurement, and cutting of metal components, interpret drawings and plans and produce a range of metal fabricated products using an assortment of tools and fabrication techniques including MIG welding, stick welding and oxy cutting. You will also be involved with assembling steel structures on commercial jobs sites in and around the Canberra area. Upon completion of this 4 year apprenticeship you will obtain a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication.

    To be successful in this position you must be reliable, mature-minded, willing to learn, able to show initiative, possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in this industry. As a Laboratory Assistant Trainee, you will be involved in daily analysis and processing oil samples, including collection and testing. You will be responsible for quality assurance including generation and sign off of certificates of analysis. You will gain experience in calibrations, equipment maintenance, laboratory housekeeping and all other aspects of an operating industrial laboratory.
