    GTES, together with Nixons Engineering, are currently seeking applications from hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated individuals interested in commencing their career as a Spare Parts Trainee.

    As a Spare Parts Trainee, you will be involved with receiving and packaging goods, as well as picking and processing orders and using inventory systems to organise stock control. As part of this traineeship you will complete a certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing Operations).

    The successful applicant must possess excellent communication skills. A current driver’s licence is essential.

    GTES, in partnership with BSC (Shepparton), a bearing, power transmission and engineering supply company, are currently seeking applications from individuals who are enthusiastic, possess excellent communication skills and are genuinely interested in the automotive engineering industry to join their team as Spare Parts Trainee.

    As Spare Parts Trainee you will be involved in the selling of automotive and engineering parts and accessories, assisting with phone and counter sales and applying product knowledge to organise work operations.  In return for your hard work you will be rewarded with an excellent career opportunity and a Certificate III in Automotive Sales.

    To be successful in this role you will have strong computer and math skills, be able to work unsupervised and take initiative.     GTES, together with D&M Electrical Communications are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic 2nd or 3rd year Electrical apprentices who are interested in continuing their apprenticeship as an Electrician.

    In this position you will learn to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment. You will perform a wide variety of tasks in the electrical industry including construction work, communications installations, electrical maintenance and low voltage reticulation (including installation of service and metering equipment) and alternative energy installation.

    To be successful in this position you must have good hand-eye coordination, excellent maths skills and have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the electrical industry. A current drivers licence and previous experience is essential.

  • TRAINEE TECHNICAL OFFICERS

    Since 2001, Southern Oil Refining has been recognised as a leading manufacturer of re-refined lube oils. Using environmentally sustainable and innovative technologies, Southern Oil collects and transforms waste lube oil products into high-quality, reusable lube oil for use both domestically and internationally.

    In partnership with Southern Oil, GTES are excited to be offering enthusiastic and driven individuals the opportunity to play a part in this unique and interesting refining process. As a Trainee Technical Officer, you will be involved in all aspects of plant operation including loading and unloading of tankers, basic laboratory work, process monitoring including temperature and pressure readings, preventative maintenance, fault reporting, general plant operation and all other minor project work as required.

    Whilst completing this two year traineeship, you will also complete your Certificate III in Process Plant Operations and enjoy working autonomously as part of a fun, yet professional work team with low staff turnover and a focus on continual training and development. Hours of work are 35 per week, Monday to Friday, with some overtime and weekend work available on an as needed basis.

    To be successful for this position it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, a positive and mature attitude, strong work ethic, have completed Year 12 and be mechanically minded. A current first aid certificate and forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
