  • APPRENTICE PAINTER

    GTES, in partnership with our client, currently have an excellent opportunity available for an enthusiastic and committed individual to take on the role of Apprentice Painter.

     As an Apprentice Painter for our client, you will work as a part of a team that is committed to providing their customers with the best service possible. You will work on new homes, restorations and also some larger projects.

    Throughout the 4 year apprenticeship you will learn all aspects of painting and decorating including how to apply paint, primers and sealers, fill holes and cracks, prepare surfaces and other finishes to protect, maintain and decorate interior and exterior surfaces, through both on and off the job training.

    To be successful in this role you must be reliable, hardworking, have a good eye for detail, strong communication skills and be well presented. A current NSW White card is essential and a current driver’s licence is preferred.

    GTES, together with Wagga Wagga City Council, are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are interested in starting their career as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. 

    As an Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will work alongside a team of skilled tradesmen to develop your skills in all aspects of the trade including servicing, repairs and diagnostics on various types of vehicles, plant equipment and machinery.

    To be successful in this position you must have a genuine interest in a career in the industry, be hard working, have good communication skills, work well in a team environment, and have good initiative.

    You must also be fit and healthy with a good attitude. A manual driver’s licence and white card are preferred however a willingness to obtain a manual driver’s licence and a white card as soon as possible is essential.

    2nd and 3rd year apprentices are encouraged to apply!
