    GTES, in association with Wagga Motors, are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join their Truck Service team, as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic which is dedicated to providing quality repairs and maintenance on Mack, UD, Volvo and Isuzu products.

    This is a great opportunity for the right person to commence their career in a modern workshop whilst in a supportive environment where a keen attitude will be rewarded.

    Throughout the 4 year apprenticeship you will be taught all aspects of the trade, including the repair, maintenance and testing of a variety of road transport and agricultural plant and equipment.

    To be successful in this position you must have good problem-solving skills, reliable and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in Heavy Vehicles or farm machinery.  A current driver’s licence is preferred but not essential.

You must also be fit and healthy with a good attitude. A manual driver’s licence is preferred however a willingness to obtain a manual driver’s licence as soon as possible is essential.     As an Apprentice Electrician you will learn to plan the layout of wiring systems, interpret architectural, electrical diagrams and install, set up, test, fault find, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. Within this role you will also be exposed to all aspects of solar panel installation.

    To be successful in this position you must be mature-minded, physically fit, have good hand-eye coordination, excellent maths skills, completed year 10 or equivalent and have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the electrical industry.

     As an Apprentice Painter for our client, you will work as a part of a team that is committed to providing their customers with the best service possible. You will work on new homes, restorations and also some larger projects.

    Throughout the 4 year apprenticeship you will learn all aspects of painting and decorating including how to apply paint, primers and sealers, fill holes and cracks, prepare surfaces and other finishes to protect, maintain and decorate interior and exterior surfaces, through both on and off the job training.

    To be successful in this role you must be reliable, hardworking, have a good eye for detail, strong communication skills and be well presented. A current NSW White card is essential and a current driver’s licence is preferred.
